Curl or not to Curl?
Q. Can I use a perm on hair that has been colored, bleached or double processsed?
A. Roux has 10 formulas within the Great Feeling Perm and Great Feeling Elite Perm collection that will safely texturize or perm previously processed hair. Before beginning any chemical service on virgin or processed hair, a hair strand test should be preformed and all product directions should be thoroughly read before you begin. Depending upon the results of the strand test, a second chemical service can be performed if the hair is in good condition and has not been previously over processed. A great choice for perming previously processed healthy hair would be Great Feeling Acid Blonde formula. There are several formulas to choose from depending on the type of curl you desire. Great Feeling has something wonderful for everyone.

Q. What type of Great Feeling Perm would I use to obtain a little extra body versus curly curls?
A. Roux Great Feeling Controlled Body or Great Feeling Elite Styling Volume give just the right amount of body for improved volume for fine/limp hair.

Q. What is the difference between an acid perm and alkaline perm?
A. An alkaline perm gives firm long lasting curls without the use of a dryer for processing. An acid perm imparts similar curls, cuticle penetration is gradual and processing requires heat. Both perms are safe to use but Acid is the preferred choice for previously colored hair. The Roux Great Feeling Perm Collection contains both acid and alkaline perms to meet the needs of all hair types.
